Ben Shephard 'has enough' and threatens to storm off GMB after 'getting grief'

Ben Shephard threatened to storm off Good Morning Britain today after telling viewers he’d “had enough”.

The GMB presenter jokingly threw down his papers and stood up to leave after a segment with political commentators Iain Dale and Ayesha Hazarika.

They were discussing a range of topics including the cabinet reshuffle, Labour MP Tracy Brabin’s dress selling for £20,000 and the Sussexes sacking their staff.

Ben thanked Ayesha for joining them and Iain for staying until the end – pointing out they are both West Ham fans and desperate to leave matches by the final whistle.

When Iain claimed Ben had not defended him, the GMB host told the political commentator not to give him anymore “grief”.

Ben said he’d ‘had enough’ and got up to leave

Kate didn’t know what was going on

Standing up from his chair, Ben said: “Right, I’ve had enough. I’m going.”

Surprised Kate beckoned her co-host back as the guests laughed during the hilarious moment.

Assuring viewers, Kate said: “Lots more still to come. We’ll get everyone back. Don’t go anywhere.”

Kate was left in stitches

Iain Dale and Ayesha Hazarika saw the funny side

This comes just one day after Kate and Ben had their ‘first row in 20 years’ during a fiery clash on Thursday’s show.

They were discussing a video which went viral of an American Airlines passenger repeatedly hitting the back of a head-rest after the woman in front reclined her seat mid-flight.

When Kate argued she would recline but never go back fully, Ben cut her off mid-sentence and said: “No OK, but the seats don’t go fully back. The seats only go a small portion back.”

Putting her hands up, Kate cried: “Hey, let me finish. We haven’t had a row in 20 years. It might kick off this morning.”

Ignoring her pleas, Ben said: “Here’s the thing. You’re absolutely right. There’s a reclining function on all these seats.”

Kate desperately tried to get a word in, but Ben continued to argue his case, with the poll backing his argument.

GMB viewers were stunned that the hosts were interrupting each other and compared Ben to outspoken Piers Morgan.
