AN EXPERT profiler has said Brian Laundrie is a “coward” who showed signs of being a domestic abuser and “isn’t macho enough to go to Mexico.”
Criminal profiler and psychotherapist John Kelly believes Gabby Petito’s fiancé was controlling and has exhibited erratic behavior in the past.

Kelly added that documented fights between Brian and Gabby, including one incident where police was called in Utah, show Brian had an issue taking criticism[/caption]
“I think he’s a coward on the run,” Kelly told Fox News.
“Knowing that he’s a coward, where would we think he would go? Do we think he’s macho enough to go off to Mexico? I don’t know about that.”
Kelly also theorized that Brian’s dark art could offer insight into his thought process.
“I see a projection of himself in his art, where he understands to some point that he has this monster inside of him, or he is a monster, and this monster may have come out,” he added.
The profiler claims the documented fights between Brian and Gabby, including one incident where police was called in Utah, show Brian had an issue taking criticism and that together these incidents could paint the image of a domestic abuser.
“And usually if their issues are with the female, they cannot take criticism from a female.”

Additionally, Kelly said he suspects Brian’s self-worth depended on his relationship with Gabby and that without that, “he’s got nothing.”
Kelly, who has participated in high-profile cases like that of the Golden State Killer, added that the fact Brian left his phone and wallet at his parents home could mean he is on the run and won’t come back on his own.
“Usually, to me, that means somebody that wants to be on the run and travel under the radar and then if he’s stopped by the cops, he can give them a fake name,” he said. “He has no ID on him, they can’t readily know who he is.”

Experienced rancher Alan McEwen has cast doubt that Laundrie is hiding in the vast Carlton Reserve.[/caption]
On Monday Brian parents released a new statement through their attorney.
It reads: “Chris and Roberta Laundrie do not know where Brian is. They are concerned about Brian and hope the FBI can locate him .
“The speculation by the public and some in the press that the parents assisted Brian in leaving the family home or in avoiding arrest on a warrant that was issued after Brian had already been missing for several days is just wrong.”
Detectives have scoured the Carlton Reserve in Sarasota since last weekend after the 23-year-old reportedly told his parents that he was going for a hike.
However, experienced rancher Alan McEwen has cast doubt that Laundrie is hiding in the vast Carlton Reserve.
He said: “Anything dead you find in the woods, you’re gonna look up, you’re gonna see buzzards flying like crazy.
“No buzzards, no body is my theory. And I haven’t seen any buzzards flying.”
Laundrie was reported missing on September 17 and cops are yet to find Petito’s missing fiancé.
He is officially wanted by the FBI after an arrest warrant was issued on Thursday.

Meanwhile, a number of theories as to his whereabouts have surfaced online, with some experts suggesting he may be on the Appalachian Trail.

On Monday it was revealed he could have a “hot” lead on Brian’s whereabouts.
“I can CONFIRM @DogBountyHunter has a HOT lead on Brian’s location. Dad has alerted the proper authorities. Say a prayer guys. This could be it,” his daughter Alyssa Chapman said on Twitter.
