Last season he produced a combined 18 goals and assists and he now looks nailed on to start for Croatia against England in their Euro 2020 opener on Sunday.

Now reports in Russia suggest that Everton want him to make a comeback and are ready to make a move to get him back following this summer’s tournament.

Some reports even claim the Toffees have a first refusal buy-back option for the attacking midfielder.

Vlasic joined Everton when Ronald Koeman was in charge but the Dutchman was axed just several months later.

He failed to impress new boss Marco Silva and he was eventually flogged for £14m to CSKA in 2019 – with his father insisting the POrtuguese coach had made ‘a big mistake’.

However, Vlasic’s agent has allegedly told Soccer he has received no contact yet from the Blues.

However, he refused to rule it out, saying: “Everton has not contacted me about Nikola, and this is not a question at the moment.

“But who knows what the future holds. Everything is possible.”

West Brom were linked with a move for the ace back in 2020.

But Slaven Bilic failed to land his compatriot after guiding the Baggies to Premier League promotion.

Now Vlasic is believed to be valued at around £30m by CSKA.
