DEAR DEIDRE: AFTER getting divorced from my husband four years ago, I am finally ready to date.
But I’m finding it impossible to meet a new man.
I’m 42 and was married for 15 years. I met my ex at university, so have not gone out with someone else since I was a teen.
The world of dating seems to have changed completely since I was last “on the market”. Now, everything seems to be about looks. I’m a little overweight and have never thought myself pretty, so I’m worried I’ll never find another man.
When I tried online dating, I couldn’t even get anyone to talk to me.
I’m a positive, friendly woman with lots of interests but I’ve started to feel disheartened and lonely.
How can I go about meeting someone?
