Jinger Duggar reveals she was baptized again & shares intimate photos from the ‘very special day’

JINGER Duggar announced that she was publicly “joined to Jesus Christ” and was re-baptized over the weekend.

The Counting On alum has been ‘distancing herself’ from her family in recent months by rebelling against her parent’s strict Christian rules.

However, on Sunday, the ex TV star gravitated back towards her Christian roots and got baptized again, despite already doing so as an adolescent.

The 27-year-old shared a series of photos from the event held at Grace Community Church near her home in Los Angeles, California.

In one photo, Jinger is standing at the microphone behind the podium reciting a prayer as the pastor stood alongside her.

The camera also captioned the former reality star during the baptism as the pastor lowered her into the holy water.

Many of Jinger’s friends attended the ceremony, including her husband Jeremy Vuolo, who proudly participated in a group photo as his wife held a bouquet of flowers.

Jinger’s family also got to watch the special moment as a picture captured many of the Duggar siblings viewing the baptism on a computer screen from their Arkansas home.

Jinger captioned the post: “Sunday was a very special day. I came to realize that although I was baptized at the age of 11, I didn’t really come to know and love Jesus until I was 14 years old.”

She continued: “On Sunday, I was able to publicly declare that I have been joined to Jesus Christ in his life, death, and resurrection.

RELAXING WARDROBE

Fans have noticed Jinger deterring from the Duggar’s strict dress code by relaxing her wardrobe lately.

Some of these inflexible rules includes not allowing women to show their legs or dress in a revealing manner, as well as for the girls to keep their hair long.

Jinger shrugged off these strict modesty rules made by her parents Jim Bob and Michelle in recent months, posting her rebelling ways on social media.

Earlier this week, Jinger showed off her bare legs during a Labor Day weekend celebration, sporting casual attire.

She also showed some skin by rocking a pair of black shorts and a gray tank top while on a recent shopping trip.

And while attending a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game with her sister Jana, 31, the girls traded in their usual long skirts for jean pants.

NEEDED A CHANGE

Another big change for the Dugger sibling is when Jinger revealed her shorter hairstyle back in July – a dramatic shakeup from her usual longer locks.

In one snapshot, the 19 Kids and Counting alum took a shot of the back of her head and her extra-long blondish hair.

In the next snap, the reality star cut her hair short and added highlights to her brunette locks.

Jinger’s short hair seemed to have curled up at their ends.

The TV star captioned the snapshots: “Sometimes you just need to change the hair up a bit.”

Jinger appeared to be shy as she hid her face behind her new hairdo.

In the comments section, Jessa, Jinger’s 28-year-old sister, wrote: “Love it!!!”
