Kerry and her 18-year-old daughter Lilly-Sue McFadden were invited to I’m A Celebrity’s Gwrych Castle when a voice was heard shouting at Kerry Katona to “leave now” – before she freaked out.

Paranormal investigators Linzi and Lee Steer captured the creepy footage on Wednesday night at the Welsh castle, after inviting Kerry and her brood.

But the mum-of-five, who won I’m a Celebrity 17 years ago, was so terrified she ‘clung’ to Linzi, 52, as she and Lee, who run Project Reveal – Ghosts of Britain, conducted the investigation.

In the clip, Linzi played an electronic voice phenomenon (EVP) to Kerry, before the voice of a male tells her to ‘go away’ – prompting Kerry to respond ‘I really want to go now’.

Moments after visibly shaken Kerry pleaded to be ‘let out’, and the voice agreed and boomed “leave now.”

Linzi, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, said: “This was one of the darkest energies we’ve ever encountered. It was absolutely fantastic.

“As it was going darker, I must admit, Kerry was getting a bit scared. She was genuinely scared.

“We got a spirit box, which it is believed spirits can talk and communicate through. We put it on and the first words that came through were ‘leave now’.

Kerry, who bonded with Katie over doing the show, went on to win it 17 years ago[/caption]

“Kerry just said ‘right, I’m going’. She ran straight to the car and locked herself in the car.

“She was scared. She kept holding me and you can feel her holding on to me. She linked my arm and she was clinging to me. I felt sorry for her.

“We were the first people ever to go there to investigate it live.

“There’s more to offer from that place. Cockroaches are the least of the celebrity’s worries if they’re staying there.”

The couple, who have been ghost hunting together for more than five years, now have more than 1.8million followers on their Facebook page – where they conduct paranormal investigations all over the world.

Down in the crypts, Linzi claimed there were signs of devil worship.

But shortly after, another voice came through, shouting ‘get back to the house’ – leaving Kerry Katona refusing to go down.

Linzi said: “We went into some of the rooms that most people don’t get to see. Me and Simon, from Urban Asylum, went down into a secret crypt and in there, there’s pentagrams drawn on the floor and some upside-down crosses. A sign of devil worship.

“We did an EVP and I said ‘who’s here’. I said ‘what sort of rituals happened here’ and as clear as anything, a man’s voice said to me, ‘get back to the house’.

“I went ‘Oh my God’. That was one of the clearest EVPs we’ve ever got.

“We played it to Kerry and she proper freaked out. She had to leave. She left early because she got scared. We managed to persuade her to come down. She really didn’t want to come down.

“It was very dark. Kerry sat on the throne and said ‘it feels strange to kind of be back’.

“Everyone was enthusiastic about trying to find evidence. Everyone was focused.

“Kerry is such a lovely lady and she was so involved with it. Even her daughter Lilly loved it.”

Gwrych Castle declined to comment.
