Man admits on Facebook Live to killing ‘love of his life’ boyfriend – before killing himself after standoff with cops

A MAN confessed on Facebook Live to killing the “love of his life” before setting his condo on fire and fatally shooting himself on Monday after a seven-hour standoff with cops.

Keith Jackson, 30, called on deputies to come into the apartment and shoot him as they surrounded the building and attempted crisis negotiations to get him to stand down.

Jackson reportedly called a friend early on Monday morning and said that he killed his boyfriend in a dispute, News4Jax reports.

The friend called 911 shortly after 7.30am and a SWAT team, crisis negotiators, and deputies rushed to the gated community in Riverview Florida.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said that with deputies outside, Jackson began to stream on Facebook Live and again confessed.

He said on the live stream that he killed “the love of his life” but refused to answer phone calls from deputies or open the door when they knocked.

Jackson also held a gun to the camera on the stream and said that he had tried to kill himself three times since shooting dead his boyfriend.

Chronister said that deputies watched the video as Jackson called on them to rush in and kill him.

“During this great length of time our negotiators are talking to him and trying to de-escalate him in any way that we can,” Chronister said.

“He gets frustrated with us that we’re not going to take his life and, just before 1 pm this afternoon, tells our negotiators, ‘If you guys aren’t going to do this we’re back at square one. I’m going to have to take matters into my own hands’.”

The sheriff said that a few minutes after this ultimatum, deputies saw smoke coming from the condo, and the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was called.

They rushed in to save surrounding homes from damage and the bodies of two men were pulled from Jackson’s apartment.

The identity of the other man was not released.

He was described as a male in his 20s or early 30s.

No further details on his death have been released.
