Pogba is one of the most marketable footballers on the planet, having re-joined Manchester United – where he was a youth-team player – from Juventus in 2016 for a then world-record fee of £89m.

The 28-year-old is currently on a contract of £290,000-a-week, which expires next year, and his time in Manchester has been littered with speculation about a move away, including a return to Juventus or a transfer to Spanish big-hitters Real Madrid and Barcelona.

In 2018, Forbes also reported that Pogba was the fifth highest paid player in the world, sitting behind a top four of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Gareth Bale.

That year, the same year he won the World Cup with France, he made £23million after sponsorships and bonuses were accounted for.

He has won the Europa League and Carabao Cup in nearly five years at Old Trafford, having previously won four Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia crowns at Juve.
