The Queen shared a series of heartwarming photos in tribute to her late husband Prince Philip today. One picture has caught royal fans attention as it shows the Queen and Prince Philip with several of their great-grandchildren. The adorable picture was shared to the Royal Family social media pages and was captioned: “The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh surrounded by seven of their great-grandchildren at Balmoral Castle in 2018.”
But just how many great-grandchildren does the Queen have?
The Queen has eight grandchildren and soon will have 11 great-grandchildren, with the number having increased this year.
The most recent additions were August Brooksbank, son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank and Lucas Tindall, son of Zara and Mike Tindall.
She will also welcome her 11th grandchild later this year, with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry expecting their second child in the summer.
From Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge she is great-grandmother to Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five and Prince Louis two.
