Universal Credit UK: Rishi Sunak reveals Kickstart Scheme details including rates of pay

The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme – which is also known as the furlough scheme – was announced in March this year, and has helped employers to pay the wages of nine million employees across the UK, according to the government.

Meanwhile, 2.7 million people have successfully claimed financial support via the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme.

During this ongoing crisis, the number of claims for Universal Credit has surged.

Since the start of March up to June 2, 3.1million individuals in 2.5million households have made a claim for the six-in-one benefit.
