One star of The Crown actually once met the royal she would later play.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly , actress Helena Bonham Carter spoke about her family connection to her The Crown season 3 role of Princess Margaret , Countess of Swowdon.

Bonham Carter said: “I presume that’s what she meant.”
It is set to be a dramatic season for Princess Margaret, having previously been played by Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw star Vanessa Kirby.

On the marriage, Daniels said to EW: They’re such extraordinary people. Completely addicted to each other. Even right up until the minute they were getting divorced, they still had a really strong physical relationship. People often said that it was like foreplay for them, having a big row. They would have these huge rows and then amazing sex.”
In additional to their fiery marriage, we will also see Margaret engage in an extramarital affair with gardener Roddy Llewelyn, played by Harry Treadway.
The Crown season 3 is released on Netflix on November 17, 2019.
