When is The Apprentice on?

The 15th series of The Apprentice returned on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, with Lord Alan Sugar at the helm.

BBC One will broadcast the show weekly on Wednesdays at 9pm and it is expected to last for around 12 weeks and is followed by You’re Fired at 10pm on BBC Two.

As always each episode of the main show will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer once it has aired and on catch-up channels.

What is the task next week?

The fourth episode is titled Electric Bikes. The hopefuls are told they have two days to design and launch their own range of electric bikes, they must then host a launch event to sell the bikes to some of the biggest cycle retailers in the UK. Half of the team head to Nottingham to develop the bike, whilst the other half remain in London to choose accessories and create marketing material.

Obviously, nothing is ever simple on The Apprentice, expect to see the cast in skin-tight Lycra, along with poor pricing strategies and more problematic situations as one more candidate is robbed of the chance to become Lord Sugar’s next business partner.

Week 1 – South Africa

Week 2 – Ice Lollies

Week 3 – Toys

Week 4 – Electric Bikes

How does The Apprentice 2019 work?

A total of sixteen candidates will take part in a series of challenges to win a £250,000 investment for their business.

They must impress Lord Sugar, as well as Baroness Brady and Claude Littner to be in with a chance of bagging the prize or face being “fired” and eliminated from the competition.

The 15th series will see the contestants travel around the world, competing in a number of tasks to try and secure Lord Sugar as a business partner.

In the first week, they will be sent to Cape Town in South Africa to create, set up and run tours in the country’s capital city.

Other destinations include a trip to Finland to create an advertising campaign and hitting the streets of Oxford and Cambridge to find and buy nine items.

What is the prize for The Apprentice winner?

The Apprentice winner will secure a £250,000 investment into their business idea and a 50/50 partnership with Lord Sugar.

Sian Gabbidon, who won the series in 2018, got an investment from Lord Sugar for her swimwear brand.

“I believe in my business and myself. I think I proved to him [Lord Sugar] I was a really strong contestant,” she told to The Sun Online after her win.

“As a business woman I always aim high. I did get people saying I will never set up a functioning business in Leeds and I did it.”
