Strictly Come Dancing is finally here, with fans of the show desperate to see who their favourite celebrities have been partnered with for this year’s competition.
We take a closer look at aristocrat and model Emma Thynn as she struts her stuff on the Strictly stage.
Who is Emma Thynn?
Emma Thynn is better known as Viscountess Weymouth.
Raised in South Kensington, London, Emma is the daughter of a British socialite and a Nigerian oil magnate.
Emma is a fashion model, and has walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana.
She studied art history at University College London before going on to study classical acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
The 33-year-old will become the first black marchioness in British history when her husband Ceawlin Thynn, Viscount Weymouth, succeeds his dad as the 8th Marquess of Bath.
The couple have two sons, The Honourable John Alexander Ladi Thynn and The Honourable Henry Richard Isaac Thynn.
Who is Emma dancing with?
Emma will be hitting the dancefloor with Aljaž Škorjanec, a Slovenian dancer and choreographer.
The 29-year-old dancer is a 19-time Slovenian champion in Ballroom, Latin and Ten Dance, and he has been a Strictly pro since 2013.
He won the show in his first year, after partnering model Abbey Clancey.
In 2017, he narrowly missed out on another victory with partner Gemma Atkinson, after being beaten by Joe McFadden and Katya Jones.
He is married to fellow Strictly pro Janette Manrara.
What time does Strictly Come Dancing 2019 air and what channel is it on?
Strictly Come Dancing ’s launch show airs on BBC One at 7.10pm on Saturday, September 7 2019.
The main shows will kick off on Saturday, September 21, with the final expected around 13 weeks later.
The results will be announced during the Sunday shows.
