Who is Matt Hancock?
Matthew Hancock, 43, replaced Jeremy Hunt as Health Secretary on July 9, 2018.
He was first an economist, then became the economic advisor at the Bank Of England.
Mr Hancock entered the field of politics in 2005 as the chief of staff to George Osborne, the shadow chancellor at the time.
Hancock rose through the ranks of the Conservative Party to become Health Secretary in July 2018.
His ambitions didn’t stop there and on July 25, 2019, he announced that he was going to stand to become leader of the Conservative Party.
This dream was short-lived and after finishing sixth in the first round of voting, he withdrew from the race.
Boris Johnson became PM shortly after and Hancock retained his position as Health Secretary.

In a world exclusive, The Sun revealed that Matt Hancock had been having a secret affair with his closest aide, Gina Coladangelo, 43.
He cheated on his wife, who he hired last year with taxpayers’ money, as Covid gripped Britain.
Mr Hancock, 42, and millionaire lobbyist Gina were caught on camera in a steamy clinch at his Whitehall office.
Whistleblowers revealed the Health Secretary had been spotted cheating on his wife of 15 years with married Ms Coladangelo.
He was seen kissing her at the Department of Health’s London HQ during office hours last month as the mutant strain began spreading.
A Whitehall whistleblower told The Sun it was “shocking that Mr Hancock was having an affair in the middle of a pandemic with an adviser and friend he used public money to hire”.
A friend of the Health Secretary said: “He has no comment on personal matters. No rules have been broken.”
Mr Hancock was pictured embracing his aide. The image was from just after 3pm on May 6 — as the rest of Westminster was engrossed by the local elections.
What constituency does he represent?
Hancock was first elected as MP for West Suffolk in 2010.
From 2013 to 2016 he served in David Cameron‘s government in a number of junior and middle-ranking ministerial roles, including skills minister and paymaster general.
Theresa May made him a junior minister in the culture department in July 2016.
In the January 2018 reshuffle, he was promoted to Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
