Woman goes on anti-Muslim rant at Walgreens in Fort Lauderdale

Disturbing cellphone video captured a social worker unleashing an Islamophobic rant against customers from New York at a Walgreens in Fort Lauderdale after employees asked her to wear a face mask.

Nahla Ebaid, her husband and some friends were on a Florida vacation March 31 when Luba Bozanich, a licensed therapist who is white, went on an anti-Islam tirade, WPLG reported.

“She looked at us and she said, ‘I wish I am from your country so I don’t have to wear the mask,’” Ebaid told the news outlet, referencing what appears to be an attempt from the woman to mock the mask mandates in several US states.

“So, we said, ‘Which country is that? We’re from New York.’”

Bozanich then went ballistic, calling the couple “f—- Muslims” and telling them to “kiss my ass,” as well as mocking Ebaid’s attire.

“Oh, I love your garb,” the hate-filled woman tells Ebaid sarcastically before ordering her to “pull that up, honey.”

Bozannich also calls Ebaid an “ugly b—-“ and asks her, “Why do you wear clothes like that?”

The unhinged woman then called the cops on the Ebaids, referring to them as “Muslims” who had threatened her with verbal and physical violence, according to Newsweek.

“God, you’re ugly,” Bozanich says. “No wonder people hate you. Israelis rule.”

Police later detained Bozanich, who pleaded with cops to “please don’t do this to me — I didn’t do anything,” adding that she has friends who are Muslims, the outlet reported.

Ebaid, who captured the video, called Bozanich’s outburst “very disgusting.”

“I still hear her words in my ears,” she told WPLG.

“She was aggressive and she started insulting my clothes, my hijab, my friends, my religion,” Ebaid told NBC 6.

Despite the verbal attack, the couple decided not to press charges after Bozanich apologized.

“She apologized and we accept her apology,” Ebaid told NBC 6. “This is from our religion — we have to forgive and give another chance.”

She added: “Don’t be scared to stand for your rights because we as Muslims, Americans, as a human, we have all the rights, equal rights.”

Bozanich told NBC 6 she didn’t wear her mask because of a medical condition — adding that while she regrets what she said, she felt she had been provoked.

“I don’t like what I saw, but I’m human,” Bozanich told WPLG. “When this guy said what he said to me, I said what I said to him and I got angry. I felt very angry, and I told him off.”

But she told NBC 6: “I apologized for what I said. It was wrong of me — period.”
